New joint training course of MIREA – Russian Technological University and GIZ GmbH launched

On 6th of September a new training course launched, called “Modern industrial enterprise management systems and best available techniques”. The course is conducted by MIREA – Russian Technological University in cooperation with GIZ GmbH (German Corporation for International Cooperation).

The course is designed to inform about the principles of integrating requirements of best available techniques into processes of developing and improving management systems of industrial enterprises. The course program was developed by experts of Environmental Industrial Policy Centre (EIPC) under the framework of a Russian-German project “Climate friendly economy: introduction of best available techniques in the Russian Federation”.

The course consists of modules and touches on the following topics:

— concept of best available techniques;

— specifics of various modern management systems (such as innovation, environment, energy, and quality management), which are regulated by the requirements of International Organization for Standardization;

— recommendations on using market tool of environmental management for improving efficiency of business activities;

— practical skills of developing, implementing, and assessing functionality of management systems, while considering the requirements of best available techniques.

Teaching staff of the course includes experts of EIPC, D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Moscow Power Engineering Institute, and other expert organizations.

More than 90 people are participating in the course, both on site and remotely. The course is scheduled to take five days (36 academic hours). Upon completion of the course’s final test the participants will receive official certificates of proficiency enhancement.
