02.03.2023

SIBURINTECH training facility (part of PJSC “SIBUR Holding”) organized a conference called “Development of analytical chemistry manufacturing laboratories under the framework of import phaseout”, which took place in Tobolsk, Russia, on February 27 – March 1, 2023. Aventine’s team took part in this event and presented a report titled “Proficiency testing programs as an instrument of quality management” during the panel discussion “Opportunities: how to find them and how to use them”.

During the presentation, we explained how proficiency testing (PT) programs contribute to the improvement of lab work quality, listed the regulatory documents which apply to PT programs, described the life cycle of a PT program, and provided some statistics on participation and performance of laboratories which are part of SIBUR Holding in PT programs, which were organized by our team.

We also talked in detail about our company’s activities in the PT programs’ organization, having presented the selection of programs available for different types of products. Two special activities were also mentioned:

— organization of virtual testing (for roadside barriers);

— a new PT program “Working environment”, which is organized in cooperation with a Russian Technological University – MIREA laboratory “Spectroradiometry of optical radiation”.

Finally, we presented our PTP-Online system, which is already being used by our programs’ participants in their work. It was recently registered in the Computer Programs Register of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).

Over a hundred experts took part in the event, representing different companies and industries, from universities to manufacturing plants.

The conference was highly professionally organized, enabling the participants to exchange contact information, communicate and get to know each other personally, as well as attend some of SIBUR’s industrial sites. We are grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to present our work, and we hope to continue developing our cooperation with SIBUR and its subsidiaries.
