KKDIK Regulation is a new REACH-like regulation, implemented in Turkey

KKDIK Regulation was published on June 23rd, 2017. In many aspects the regulation is similar to the EU REACH. KKDIK may yet be amended, but the registration phase has already started: by December 31st, 2023, all substances present on the Turkey’s chemicals market must be registered. This applies to all substances which are imported into Turkey in amounts of more than 1 ton per year

Similarly to REACH, KKDIK compliance procedures must be performed by an entity registered in Turkey. Since the regulation is in its initial stages, it is recommended to reduce the workload on importers by appointing an Only Representative (OR)
